Laughter is the Best Medicine!
Message from our Director of Music & Worship, Danny Compher

No doubt you have heard the saying, “laughter is the best medicine.” During this uncertain time, laughter certainly can go a long way towards keeping us sane. Laughter can strengthen your immune system, it can pick up your mood, it can lessen pain and protect you from stress. Laughter can disarm a tense situation, it can quickly turn a negative around. It helps one release anger. The benefits of a good “belly laugh” are immeasurable. 

I want to share a few video clips with you that I hope will result in some LOL! 

The episode “Barney and the Choir” from the Andy Griffith Show is perhaps my favorite TV episode ever! If you know anything about me, it is pretty easy to understand why. Since most of us have some additional time on our hands, I encourage you to take 25 minutes and watch the episode. It might be hard for you to keep a straight face!

  • If you need someone to talk to during this challenging time, our Stephen Ministry is a great resource. Contact a Stephen Leader at [email protected]. 
  • Our offices will be open Monday - Thursday, 9 AM - 5 PM. If you are in need of help, contact our front office at (813) 961-1254.
  • If you are in need of our Food Pantry services, we will continue to have this ministry available Monday - Thursday, 10 AM - 4 PM. A photo ID is required.
