Dear Lake Magdalene UMC Family,
In our world today, we are being asked to practice social distancing. I certainly agree with the need for each of us to do all we can to maintain health and safety habits. However, as we disconnect
physically, we need to do our best to stay connected
spiritually.
I am writing to challenge each of us to lift up in prayer our families, Lake Magdalene UMC, and our community. Spend five minutes praying specifically for those God lays on your heart.
Please remember a first responder or health care worker you know; maybe a family member or friend who lost a job due to COVID-19; or perhaps one of our church members who is home-bound, in a rehab facility, or assisted living facility. I could go on, but I'm sure you can think of many who need our prayers.
After you take the time to pray for them - call, text or email them and let them know you prayed for them.
Let's make this a daily practice.
Prayer is essential … pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out. (Ephesians 6:18 The Message)
God Bless You.
