Today's Scripture

Saturday of the Fourth Week of Easter

Feast of St. Joseph the Worker

Taking the Gospel to Prayer

The Gospels from both celebrations for today deal with lack of faith. The followers are always seeking proof that Jesus is the Chosen One. But when He reveals Himself to them, many doubt and even totally turn away.

The Church is not trying to beat us up with guilt during this Easter Season. She holds our humanity before us. "OK, you might not totally understand this but listen to what Jesus has to tell you. He is the only answer that you need."

Let us pray for a deeper sense of faith and let us do the works that the Lord calls us to perform in His name.

Lord Jesus, help me to grow closer to You today.
