Taking the Gospel to Prayer

"Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own

unless it remains on the vine,

so neither can you unless you remain in me."

I am not good with plants...my mom was great with flowers. My dad's garden flourished every year. Me - not in my genetic constructs at all. I have killed an air plant. But even, I get this text.

The Lord has said it. We know that it is true. So, why do we still go off on our own and think that we can be successful without God? What draws us away?

Let us pray for those who have drifted from God. Let us pray for our own zeal that we may have the grace we need to follow wherever God leads.

Lord Jesus, help me to grow closer to You today.
