Taking the Gospel to Prayer

This conversation takes place between Jesus and those who have just experienced the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. They pursue Him and track Him to Capernaum. At their first question, He calls on them to be honest about their motives...they want to experience miracles.

He IS the MIRACLE!

Jesus said to them,

“I am the bread of life;

whoever comes to me will never hunger,

and whoever believes in me will never thirst.”

We have the Miracle with us today. Of course, in the Holy Eucharist that we share we see Him most tangibly with us...bread and wine transformed into Body and Blood. But let us not lose sight of the other miraculous appearances of the Lord. We see Him in His Word...each time we have shared our prayers together, we have experienced the Presence of God. This certainly points us to remember that JESUS LIVES IN US! The world knows Him by knowing us.

Let us pray for one another! Let us be the living sign of Jesus...bring His powerful Presence to the world today.

Lord Jesus, help me to grow closer to You today.
