St. Andrew Dung-Lac (1791- 1839) was a Vietnamese priest and one of the 117 martyrs who died practicing and preaching the Catholic faith in Vietnam between the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries. In the 19th century alone, between 100,000 and 300,000 Catholics were killed or subjected to great hardship.
