CALCASIEU PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces intermittent shoulder closures in multiple locations within Louisiana Bridge Builders project limits. The limits extend on I-10 East and West bound as well as surrounding service roads from Kirkman St. East to Prater Road/Bayou D’inde overpass. These shoulder closures will primarily be on service roads. There will be some shoulder closures on mainline I-10 where it is deemed necessary for safety or accessibility. These will take place Tuesday, March 25, 2025, through Thursday, April 25, 2025, from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
The following areas with shoulder closures:
- I-10 Eastbound and Westbound all corresponding service roads from Prater Road / Bayou D’Inde Pass Road to Kirkman Street
These closures are necessary to conduct guardrail and cable barrier repair, bridge inspection and repair, roadway repair and inspection, drainage repair and maintenance, traffic sign repair or replace, debris pickup, as well as roadway lighting inspection and repairs.
