Bible Study Verse
So God created man in His own image; He created him in the image of God; He created them male and female. God blessed them and God said unto them, be fruitful, multiply, fill the Earth and subdue it. [1:27]
On the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God; He created them male and female, and called them mankind. [5:1b,2]
Thoughts
The young lady pictured above is my adopted niece. She and her sister call me Uncle Fred. She is an attractive, Godly young woman who is very much a lady, but is also an accomplished hunter. She loves to hunt with her dad and has killed deer, turkeys, and now ducks. She and her older sister believe the truth from Moses' writings in Genesis--that God made them women, contrary to what many say.
There is now much discussion among non-believers, about gender identity. To promote their desire to spread this paganism, they muddy the waters about the distinctiveness of the two genders. Their main ploy is by trying to change speech to eliminate pronouns that indicate gender--like him, her, she, he, male, female, Miss, Mrs., and Mr. Children and adults are told that they can choose which gender they identify with, and that can change. Or you can be bigender [both man and woman], or transgender [not identifying with your birth gender].
But, consider the unchanging Truth of God's Word:
1. Elohim our Creator created humans as male or female. [1:27; 5:2]
2. His command for them was to populate the Earth [1:27], which is impossible unless one of them was a male and the other a female.
Action Point
David was content that God made him as He did. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. [PS 139:14]
The created cannot question the Creator. Paul addressed the real heart problem related to this current gender identity questioning--the created's rebellion against his Creator. But who are you, a mere man? Will what is formed say to the One who formed it, 'Why did you make me thus?' [ROM 9:20]
Elohim's oft-repeated question to Job was, Where were you when I...created [everything]? [JOB 38]
The bottom line on this whole matter of people questioning their created, birth gender and identity, is Elohim's question to Eve in GEN 3:11--Who told you that you were naked? To rephrase it in order to address this matter of gender identity, Who told you that you were not the sex that I [God] made you? Who told you that you could change, or demand of Me, 'Why did you make me this way?
The answer to the bottom line question? The evil one, deceiver, angel of light, roaring lion who devours, prince of darkness--he told them! Not God!
Listen to the voice of Truth, the Creator. He knows who people are, what they are, and will tell them the Truth about themselves. He made them.
As for us, we need to tell them that Truth, and pray for them to believe their Creator.
Sportsman's Tip of The Day
Proper gender identification is a very important aspect of legal hunting. So many of our game laws are related to animals' genders, which sex of an animal may be legally taken, and when--bucks, does, gobblers, hens, etc. Know your game laws, and know how to accurately identify the gender of any game animal--before firing your gun or bow.
