Daily Update

Update on Linda Eagleson:  she came home this morning and is feeling much better than the last time she was in for the same surgery.  It will still be a couple weeks, however, before she can get back to some good home cooking.

Merle Lowry has been having problems with severe back pain lately and is in need of our prayers.

Peggy Ropiequet, our lay member of annual conference, reports that the conference is offering a matching grant of up to $500 for churches that collect money for a local food bank.  We are up to $300 in contributions so far.  If you would like to make a donation to help replenish our local Food Bank, please let us know and mark your check "Food Bank."

Special thanks to Larry Dennis and his daughter Wendy who planted flowers at our church this week.  Enjoy them when you drive or walk by.

Tomorrow, May 14 is a light day.  The only thing on the calendar is "Chicken Dance Day."  The Chicken Dance evidently started out in Europe in the 1970s, where it was known as the "Duck Dance."  But the U.S. apparently had a shortage of duck costumes and it was renamed, The Chicken Dance.  You can either sing and dance it yourself tomorrow, or you could just click here and listen to it.
