Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. denotes "active, powerful in action" (en, "in," ergon, "work;" Eng. "energy;" the word "work" is derived from the same root). It is translated "effectual" in 1 Cor. 16:9, of the door opened for the Gospel in Ephesus, and made "effectual" in the results of entering it; and in Philem. 1:6, of the fellowship of Philemon's faith "in the knowledge of every good thing" (RV). In Heb. 4:12 it describes the Word of God as "active," RV (AV, "powerful"), i.e., full of power to achieve results. See ACTIVE, POWERFUL. Paul is saying something here that is profound. As you begin to share your faith, the eyes of your understanding will begin to develop.
It will increase you to have a greater and a fuller understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. Speaking out your faith makes you bolder and more conscious of what you have inside of you.
God makes some amazing statements: I can do all things through Christ, I am more than a conqueror, all things are possible to those who believe, Christ in you the hope of Glory, say to a mountain and it must be removed, and the list goes on.
Paul is encouraging us to speak out our faith that the blessings that have been given to us will be understood and will be active in our lives. The Word is the only true way of being set free and to be more than a conqueror. There is a way to bring this forth, “begin by communicating your faith everywhere you go and the power that is in you will begin to come forth and be a blessing to all who are in your daily life.
This is what you are here for, and this will change your life. Light will come and the glory of the Lord will come with it. Be a doer of every good thing you have in Christ.
