"Trust Him"

John 14:1 (NKJV) “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe [trust] in God, believe [trust] also in Me.

John 14:1 (NIV) "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.

John 14:1 (NLT2) “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.

John 14:1 (MSG) "Don't let this throw you. You trust God, don't you? Trust me.

Trust: Confidence; a reliance or resting of the mind on the integrity, veracity, justice, friendship or other sound principle of another person. He or that which is the ground of confidence.

O Lord God, thou art my trust from my youth. Psalms 71:1. Charge received in confidence. That which is committed to one's care. Never violate a sacred trust.

Greek: pisteuo[pist-yoo’-o]: believe [239], commit unto [4], commit to one’s trust [1], to be committed unto [1], to put in trust with [1], believer [1]. from (pistis); to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to, a person or thing), i.e. credit; by implication to entrust (especially one's spiritual well-being to Christ) :- believe (-r), commit (to trust), put in trust with. Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. "To believe," also "to be persuaded of," and hence, "to place confidence in, to trust," signifies, in this sense of the word, reliance upon, not mere credence. It is most frequent in the writings of the Apostle John, especially the Gospel. He does not use the noun (see below). For the Lord's first use of the verb, see John 1:50. Of the writers of the Gospels, Matthew uses the verb ten times, Mark ten, Luke nine, John ninety-nine. In Acts 5:14 the present participle of the verb is translated "believers." See COMMIT, INTRUST, TRUST. Vine's Expository Dictionary of Old Testament and New Testament Words.

We are living in tumultuous times. There is warring and death and destruction all around. People hating people for virtually no reason, people in the streets trying to prove a point by destroying others property, people being beheaded that the aggressor doesn’t even know. The financial world is chaotic, and our debt is at terminal proportions. Things could get out of hand rather quickly.

But there is an oasis in the midst of all of this turmoil, it is the promises of the Word of God. There are many promises given to us to bring us peace, joy and excitement about life. God very simply, quietly, softly speaks to us with a still, small voice. TRUST ME! Know me and the power of my resurrection and believe that I have this whole thing under control. A sparrow does not fall to the ground without me knowing about it. There will no evil befall you nor will any plaque come nigh your dwelling but my angels are on assignment, they are doing what they were created to do. Protect you! Believe it and peace will flood your soul and bring you mental, physical, spiritual and financial success.

Success is defined as: “to turn out well”. This leaves no room for failure, heartache, destruction, fear, worry or any other demonic event. What is going on in the world should not concern us, for we are not of this world. God is well able to handle it and anything that concerns us. Our world is the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. We need only trust. It is our inheritance.
