"Gods Provision"

Part 8 of 8

Obey Voice

Genesis 22:17-18 (NKJV) blessing I will bless you and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. 18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice."

Genesis 32:17-18 (NLT2) He gave these instructions to the men leading the first group: “When my brother, Esau, meets you, he will ask, ‘Whose servants are you? Where are you going? Who owns these animals?’ You must reply, ‘They belong to your servant Jacob, but they are a gift for his master Esau. Look, he is coming right behind us.’

                               “God always rewards the faithful”

After eating breakfast that morning, he took me to his Christian Book Store and began to lavish on me all types of study books and bibles of which I still own.  That was awesome. Then we drove out to his office in Pennsylvania [Jamestown is close to the PA border] and he explained to me his oil operation. He left the room for a moment and came back with a check for $350 which was a great surprise to me. He asked for the keys to my car and filled up the tank with his ‘on cite’ gas. This was another miracle God was blessing me with.

I said my goodbyes later that afternoon and headed west. It was getting late, and I wanted to make it to Youngstown before dark. In arriving in Youngstown, I stopped at my pastor friend’s restaurant, The Seven Trumpets”. There I ministered to him for 2 hours and low and behold he was struggling and was about to lose his restaurant. I was able to encourage him and share with him the God of more than enough. He served me a wonderful free meal and took $200 of cash from his cash register and thanked me for being a blessing to him. Now I am on my way back to Lima. In about a 36-hours’ time, I had ministered to two businessmen, gained $550 dollars, several bibles, had gas to get to and from Jamestown, New York and was on my way home.

Arriving at my home in Lima at 3.30 am, I woke my wife, and she explained to me that someone had called that previous day and wanted to buy our ‘speck home’ built back in 1979. I had not sold this home for 4 ½ years and the utilities and interest and maintenance were accumulating. This family eventually bought the home and was a great blessing to us and them, but that is a long story in and of itself.

Isn’t it fantastic what the Lord will do for those who trust him with their life? We need to learn to let go and let God be who he claims to be, a provider of all our needs according to His riches in Glory. He requires very little of us and basically asks us to show up. God said that without faith it is impossible to please him, but if you will make a quality decision to do what He asks, He will reward you openly and abundantly.
