Last Chance to Submit Your Small Business Person of the Year Nominations
We are now taking nominations for the small business person of the year. The nomination deadline is next Monday, September 23rd and the criteria and form can be found HERE . The award winner will be announced at the annual banquet on November 12th.

Dalton-Whitfield Spotlight in Georgia Trend

Dalton State Adds Engineering Technology Degree
A Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Technology has been approved at Dalton State! This degree will give students the skills needed to fill many industry jobs, strengthening our local workforce.

Georgia Northwestern Offering Training Courses
GNTC  offers short-term, focused training for professional or personal growth through the Office of Continuing Education.

Upcoming Offerings:

1.First Aid, CPR, AED:
This course is offered September 30 from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM at GNTC Whitfield-Murray Campus. The deadline for registration is September 25.

2.Contractor License Renewal Courses:
GNTC will offer three and six-hour classes for GEORGIA CONTRACTORS to satisfy the continuing education requirement for renewal of current Georgia licenses. These courses will be offered at GNTC’s Floyd County Campus (September 16 – 17) and Walker County Campus (September 23 – 24).

3.HVAC, Plumbing, & Electrical Contractor License Renewal Courses: four-hour classes for HVAC, PLUMBING, & ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS to satisfy the continuing education requirement for renewal of current Georgia licenses. These courses will be offered at GNTC’s Floyd County Campus (September 26, October 3, October 10), Walker County Campus (October 17, September 26, October 24), and Whitfield Murray Campus (October 24).
