For 60 years, Damien High School has been true to its mission of developing men of service, scholarship and faith. We rely heavily upon the generosity of our alumni, parents and friends to support the mission of our school each year. This support affords our school the opportunity to take a variety of initiatives that directly affect our educational program each day.

I am happy to share with you Damien High School’s first “Annual Report to Stakeholders” enclosed with this letter (link below).

We highlight the founding Sacred Hearts: Fr. Peter Dennis and Fr. Patrick Travers as their legacy of the school carries on.

We introduce our new President, Dr. Joseph Siegmund ‘86, who will take over as the Chief Executive Officer of Damien High School in July.

Of course, what makes Damien special is the accomplishments of our students and teachers. We highlight the Damien Debate Program as it continues a tradition of state and national success, while the engineering program has established one of the top robotic programs in the world. We have also mapped out a historical timeline of facilities and our efforts to upgrade Spartan Hall and the addition of a wrestling practice facility.

We want to thank those who have contributed financially to our success over the past eighteen months. Your contributions in so many ways help keep the school alive.

Enjoy the reminiscing and thank you for being a part of our Spartan Family.

Dr. Merritt Hemenway, Ph.D.
Interim President, Principal
