DCM Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has successfully concluded the search for a dynamic Chief Development Officer (CDO) to spearhead fund development at Students 2 Science (S2S). S2S is a model program with a mission to inspire, motivate, and educate elementary, middle and high school students in economically disadvantaged communities to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM subjects) and foster a more diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce.
Dan Barnett brings over 14 years of executive leadership experience in philanthropy having recently served as Senior Director of Development at the Hyacinth AIDS Foundation in New Brunswick. Dan also served as Director of Development for the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University, Director of Alumni Relations at Loyola University Maryland, and Director of Campus Programs at Carnegie Mellon University.
"I am thrilled to join Students 2 Science as the Chief Development Officer," Dan says. "While so much has changed over the past year, the continued need for STEM education and access to the necessary learning tools remains present now more than ever. I look forward to leading the development and fundraising efforts to expand the reach of S2S's tremendous programs."
"I am also very appreciative of the guidance and assistance offered throughout the process by DCM Associates, especially by Dennis," he continues. "Thank you for your dedication to S2S and to building this connection."
"Dan joins S2S during an exciting time of organizational growth and transition," says Paul Winslow, Ph.D., S2S President and Co-Founder. "He brings the leadership skills and experience needed to fuel the growth of the organization. I would like to thank Dennis Miller and his team for conducting this critical search. The team identified a group of impressive candidates and did an exceptional job guiding our search committee throughout the process."
Please join us in congratulating our client, S2S, and welcoming Dan to his new venture!
