The Dan Beard Council Scout Shop is providing an opportunity for the Scouting community to help local Scouts who may be in need of uniforms and camping essentials.Through the Ethan Giving Tree program, similar to an Angel Tree, a tree will be set up in the Scout Shop with Ethan Cards on it. Each card will have the first name of the Scout along with the uniform items that they need. There will also be a space for other items they may want such as books, crafts, camping items, etc. Customers and Scout supporters can purchase the item(s) in the Scout Shop and give them to the store staff to collect for each child.

Time is running out, but it’s not too late. Join over 30,000 Scouts from all over the country, as they enjoy 10,600 acres of fun at the Summit. Whitewater rafting, kayaking, rock climbing, and mountain biking are just a few of the activities offered at the Summit.
This popular event improves advancement and provides youth the opportunity to explore vocations and new hobbies while working on merit badges. Nearly 2,000 Scouts attend 4 convenient locations.

One of the core values of The Boy Scouts of America is to do your best to help other people at all times. Heimlich Heroes™ is the perfect way to train your Cub Scouts and Webelos to recognize and respond to a choking emergency. It only takes an hour and is easily facilitated by your Scout Master and older Boy Scouts. In the past 8 months four kids trained through Heimlich Heroes have saved lives of friends or family members who were choking.
