National Commissioner Charles Dahlquist Visits Dan Beard Council
Dan Beard Council was excited to welcome Charles W. Dahlquist II, the 10th National Commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America, to our great council on March 16th and 17th. As a part of his visit, Mr. Dahlquist visited the the childhood home of Daniel Carter Beard located in Covington, KY. Shortly after helping to found the Boy Scouts of America in 1910, Beard was appointed as the first National Commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Dahlquist met with local commissioners at the College Commissioner of Science, as well as members from the board, Second Century Society, and Eagle Patrol during his visit.
