Camp Friedlander logo
Thank you to Everyone
who Came Out to Camp Friedlander this Summer!
Year 101 of Camp Friedlander’s Summer Program is on the books, and while it was wildly different than anyone could have predicted, the Scouts and Leaders all had rave reviews for the experience.  SAFETY and FUN were the name of the game, and the handful of elite staff members who served the camp this year delivered a spectacular program.

Scouts and Cubs are happiest when they are at camp , and figuring out a way to prioritize each person’s health while letting campers get to swim, fish, shoot, carve, hike, and LEARN , was a welcome opportunity.

Camp Directors Alex Reitz and Michael Stamat are humbled by the staff’s ability to make the best of an atypical situation, and hugely grateful for each and every one of the Cubs, Scouts, and Leaders who gave us the chance to share our beloved camp! No matter what the rest of 2020 looks like; no matter what happens in the future, Scouting is here for each of you and we cannot wait to see you all again at the Dan Beard Scout Reservation in 2021!

The annual Festival of Fireworks is an important fundraising event for the Dan Beard Council. What is more important is the health and safety of our donors and volunteers.
Because of that, we are cancelling the 2020 Festival of Fireworks. In its place will be a new event called Picnic at Peterloon, which will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Peterloon Estate.
