Dana Point Boaters Supporting the Ocean Institute
As our Dana Point Harbor boating community has observed up close, our neighbor and partner Ocean Institute has been hit hard this year by the coronavirus pandemic and the loss of our beloved Brig Pilgrim. Core to the Ocean Institute’s mission is to foster the next generation of mariners and ocean-minded citizens; in that regard, they align well with the values of your Dana Point Boaters Association and the community we serve.

Starting this evening at 6:00pm, the Ocean Institute will begin selling and auctioning artifacts from the wreck of the Pilgrim. As heartbreaking as it is to so many of us to see the Pilgrim in pieces, this auction will allow the beloved ship to live on among the community that adored her over so many years, as well as help the Ocean Institute endure the challenging circumstances they find themselves in. If you can, we urge you to consider participating in the auction and perhaps bring home an artifact to give continuing life to the Pilgrim with your family.

For more details on the auction, please visit their site HERE.

Thank you for your support.

And finally this... Your DPBA leadership team is committed to protecting and advancing the interests of our Dana Point boating community. We are your voice on all matters affecting our harbor. But we only succeed with your support. Your attention, input and moral support most of all. But also financial support. It takes very little to fund what we do, but it's not free. Every dollar counts. If you can spare $10, $25, $50 or $100 to the cause, it goes a long way to keeping us on track, please click here to donate! Thank you.
