Meet Our New Members

We're back! Chris "Ralphie" Andrews and Steve "Lounge" Price, the original owners, have taken back ownership of their hallowed retail space.
Established in 1991 by these two Dana Point locals, Killer Dana is a full service surf shop carrying a full range of mens, womens and kids apparel, hard good, surf and beach accessories, as well as daily rentals.

"We're the new old owners, I guess that's a good way to put it," laughed Ralphie. "With all of the renovation going on in Dana Point and all of the growth in the area, we're really excited to be jumping back into this on our terms."

It all began with Charlie Zhang, a Chinese immigrant who arrived in the U.S. in 1982. One day, Charlie had an idea: maybe he could open a restaurant that satisfied the American taste for flavorful Chinese food that was fast and wok'd to order with fresh ingredients. Thus, the first Pick Up Stix restaurant was opened in 1989 in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.

Did Charlie`s idea work? You could say so. Today, Pick Up Stix is a leader in the quick-casual dining segment with more than 70 locations in California.

A big part of Charlie's success was developing recipes and sauces using the best traditional Asian food and adapting it to the American palate by reducing the oils and adding wine, vinegar and soy sauce. The result was the distinctive flavors that have become our trademark. Pick Up Stix still carries on this tradition and continues to prepare food in an open-style kitchen, allowing you to watch as your meal is cooked before your eyes.

Whether you get your water from a municipal supply or a local well, or whether you need cleaner water in your home, office, restaurant or cafe we have a right solution for you.

We've been serving our customers for over 25 years. Our experienced Service Technicians are trained and certified to provide service, repair, and maintenance on all major brands of water softeners, water purifiers, water filters, water alkalizes, and pool water treatment systems.

The City of Dana Point has produced a complimentary calendar for the citizens and visitors since 1998. It contains information concerning City special events, meetings, community gatherings, holidays and Capo Unified School District scheduling.
Historically, the calendar has switched between modern and historical images of the City every other year. We have worked closely with community groups, such as the Dana Point Historical Society, in the past to get novel and compelling images of Dana Point to feature in the calendar. For the 2018 calendar the images will again be of modern shots of our beautiful City and we are reaching out to the community to capture those images.
From Memorial Day (May 29, 2017) to Labor Day (September 4, 2017), the City will be collecting images of our town to be considered for next year's calendar. If you are interested in submitting a photo for consideration, please post them on Instagram or Facebook and use the hashtag #picturedanapoint and tag @cityofdanapoint; for those without social media, please email your submission to . If your image is selected for the calendar, we will contact you for an original high resolution version of the image.
Submission of photos will give the City permission to use the image in future promotional materials, including the City newsletter. Any image used in a City publication will be given proper photo credit.
For more information on the photo contest or the annual calendar, please contact the City of Dana Point at 949-248-3553.
