2016 Annual Meeting and Installation 

Join the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce as we celebrate our accomplishments in 2015 and honor outgoing chair, Enzo Scognamiglio and welcome our chair-elect, Mits Arayama at the 2016 Installation Dinner and Annual Meeting. 

We will also be inducting our 2016 Board of Directors and honoring the 2015 Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year and Ambassador of the Year.    


This year's Installation Dinner will be held at the magnificent St. Regis Monarch Beach on January 28th at 6 PM.

Tickets are available online until 11:55pm on Monday, January 25th. Please note that there will be no tickets available at the door - you must make your reservation ahead of time.

TONIGHT:  Dana Point Historical Society Annual Meeting & Potluck

Dana Point Historical Society Announces Annual Meeting
 and Potluck Dinner Wednesday, January 20, 2016       

Please join us for our annual meeting and potluck dinner on 
Wednesday, January 20, at Dana Point Community House at  24642 San Juan Avenue. Doors open at 6 PM, although 
volunteers to help set up chairs and tables at 5:30 PM would be 
greatly appreciated. A reception starts the evening, followed by 
a potluck dinner at approximately 6:45 PM. Opening comments 
and approval of the 2016 slate of incumbent officers and appointed  board members will begin at approximately 7:15 PM. Our final program  event will  feature  longtime DPHS me mber Wayne  Rayfield, left, who will  receive the Pat Plepler  Award. Several guest speakers will describe his  active citizenship and community service.  
Please bring a dish to serve 6-8 people for the potluck dinner. 
Beverages  will be available but a donation of wine or beer is always appreciated.

Lisa Bartlett: New Chairwoman 
of the Orange County Board of Supervisors

A BIG congratulations to Dana Point local and former City Mayor, Supervisor Lisa Bartlett for being elected as the new chairwoman of the Orange County Board of Supervisors.
Bartlett, who was elected supervisor in November 2014, is a former Dana Point mayor and councilwoman who represents the 5th District, which includes Irvine's Shady Canyon and encompasses South County from Lake Forest to San Clemente.*

A Two-day Extravaganza: Ocean Institute Jazz Festival 

When: Friday Concert, January 22nd @ 6:00 PM and Saturday Gala, January 23rd @ 5:30 PM

The Ocean Institute's popular jazz fundraising weekend event 
combines renowned jazz artists with an elegant evening of 
epicurean dining, cocktails, and live and silent auctions. 
Past performers include Gerald Albright, David Benoit, Rick Braun, 
Richard Elliot, Mindi Abair and Peter White.  Since its beginning in 2003, this extraordinary event has raised over one million dollars to benefit Ocean Institute hands-on, ocean-oriented programs.
