Staying connected

Friends, we're thinking about you! And we wanted to let you know that we're offering Professional Learning services and resources during this time of social distancing. Please scroll below for online, virtual, and phone offerings.

We 're curious too -  how can we support you as dance educators right now ? What questions do you have, and what kind of services are you longing for?

With the current atmosphere of uncertainty and mistrust, and the bombardment of messages, we encourage you to spend a little time dancing every day. Dancing can reground us in our intuitive bodies and remind us that we are creative, flexible, resilient beings who can discover new ways to operate. Join us on Twitter for a daily dance prompt!

With heart,

Practitioner Exchanges are continuing - virtually!

Connect with other dance educators in community conversation, from your home! We are currently planning a free Practitioner Exchange on Teaching Dance from a Distance - stay tuned! Here are details about our April topic.

Agency & Power in Early Childhood
How do we as educators introduce ideas of consent, power, and agency? How can introducing these ideas in Early Childhood benefit not only the child but the community at large? Join dance educator & early childhood specialist Aiano Nakagawa as she discusses how dance can provide opportunities for young children to learn boundaries, practice consent, build empathy, and exercise power in non-violent and non-oppressive ways. Bring your questions and expertise to this casual conversation. All welcome.

This annual conversation inspired Aiano to write an article for In Dance - read it here!
