'Tis the season for dancing and giving . . . and we hope your giving includes the Berkeley Public Library Foundation, which raises the funds that make possible so many innovations and building improvements for our libraries.

Our gift to you: a chance to see again this wonderful dance in the new Downtown Central Library Teen Space, filmed for this year’s Libraries are Central event. You’ll watch young dancers from Berkeley Ballet Theater as they push open the doors from the old-fashioned library stacks and burst into the newly imagined room that now belongs to them. Curling up in cozy window seats, moving the furniture and the walls to craft spaces for creative collaboration, they celebrate this place that is as flexible as they are.
