For Danielle, foster care felt like a merry-go-round she could not get off. From the ages of 10 to 15, she moved ten times. Each move meant a new home, new school, new therapist, new friends and new rules.

December is a packed month at Dallas CASA, with nearly daily Angel Tree Gift Drive deliveries. Dallas CASA's volunteers create wish lists for the children they serve, and Dallas CASA's tremendous corporate and individual supporters fill those wish lists. The volunteers pick yp the gifts and deliver them to the children. Dallas CASA thanks every supporter and volunteer for their commitment to making the holiday wishes of children and families come true!

Every year on National Adoption Day, the Saturday before Thanksgiving, Dallas County judges donate their time to consummate adoptions for children in foster care as part of a coordinated nationwide effort to have children in permanent homes before the holidays. The Henry Wade Juvenile Justice Center was full this year as the special day returned in-person with happy families and children, volunteers, superheroes from Capes for Kindness and more.
