Laguna Originals Series Presents Dante Marino
Dante Marino is a nationally touring musician, born and raised in Laguna Beach. He will be kicking off his 2026 summer tour with a special hometown performance at the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center as the inaugural artist in our new Laguna Originals Series.
Created to celebrate the remarkable artists who emerge from Laguna Beach's rich creative community, the Laguna Originals Series showcases original musicians, storytellers, filmmakers, and cultural innovators who continue the city's long tradition of artistic expression. For more than a century, Laguna Beach has been a place where creativity thrives, producing generations of artists whose work reflects the independent spirit and cultural legacy of our community.
As a gifted singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Dante creates an extraordinary sonic blend of the counterculture psychedelic rock that helped define Laguna's early days, combined with modern singer-songwriter influences and sounds inspired by musical traditions from around the world. Utilizing instruments, rhythms, and influences from across the globe, Dante's music is uniquely his own. It is difficult to categorize and best experienced live, where audiences can fully appreciate the depth, energy, and originality of his performances.
The evening will begin with a special opening performance by Justin Toto of the Sunstroke Serenaders, another talented Laguna Beach musician helping carry forward the city's vibrant musical tradition.
This concert will also support an important local environmental effort. A portion of the evening will benefit a marine reforestation project being led by Dante and accomplished marine biologist Nancy Caruso. Their work aims to help restore 160 acres of reef habitat along the California coast, combining art, community engagement, and environmental stewardship in a uniquely Laguna Beach way.
