36th ANNUAL SPRING FLING
Saturday, May 7, 2022
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
|
|
As we look ahead to warmer spring weather, what better way to get outside and celebrate the season than at the annual Spring Fling? Held the first Saturday in May, Danville's 36th Spring Fling is a celebration of the foods, shopping, and sounds that make it a special place.
The all-ages outdoor event features downtown and area businesses, food trucks, craft vendors selling their handmade wares, activities for the kids, and bands rocking the Canal Park stage. The event is also a showcase of our nonprofit organizations, who demonstrate the giving spirit of the community by raising awareness and funds for their causes.
The festivities take place on Mill St., Lower Mulberry to Ferry St., a portion of East and West Mahoning Streets, and East Market to Ferry Street. These streets are closed to traffic.
Admission is free. Food, drink, and shopping is pay-as-you-go.
Mark your calendars so you don't miss the food, drink, music, arts, shopping and fun in downtown Danville! Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What was once a busy canal is well on its way to become a multi-use green space in the heart of downtown Danville located between Beiter's Department Store and the Danville Borough's Administration Building. Canal Park will become a meeting place for a cup of coffee, alfresco dining, a place to unwind, group exercise and yoga classes, music concerts, family movie nights...the sky is the limit!

The Giving Tree is a fundraising campaign to support the redevelopment and maintenance of Canal Park as an entertainment venue in the center of downtown Danville. We want to make Canal Park a place for everyone and what better way to do that than by memorializing a loved one or creating a legacy for your child, grandchild(ren), family member or other special person at the entrance of the new park. Your support will be recognized with an engraved leaf or rock where it will have a permanent place to be honored for generations. A special "Thank You" to Beiter's Department Store for the use of their building wall and to Geisinger for sponsoring the Giving Tree.
