National Organization

We are excited to be starting our 2025-2026 season for Darby's Dancers at WDC! Below is some updated information regarding the enrollment process for Darby's Dancers national organization.

The Darby's Dancers national organization requires that all dancers are registered with the national organization. The studio will send information in for each student so they are registered. Parents will not need to do anything for registration.

There is a $65 enrollment fee for the national organization annually, Below are three options for the enrollment fee. Please let us know if you have any questions.

WDC Darby's Dancers fundraising will cover your dancer's fee.
Parents may pay part of the fee to the national organization and have WDC Darby's Dancers fundraising cover the balance. Please notify us if you would like to use this option.
Parents may choose to pay the $65 enrollment fee. Payment can be made to Darby's Dancers through WDC (cash or check preferred but cards also accepted) at our front desk.

Dance Wear & Shoes

Darby's Dancers students may stop in the WDC boutique to be sized for shoes and choose dance wear if you have not already done so. Below are our studio boutique hours.

Mondays 1:00-8:00pm

Tuesdays 9:30am-8:00pm

Wednesdays 9:30-8:00pm

Thursdays 9:30-8:00pm

Fridays 1:00-8:00pm

Saturdays 9:00-1:00pm

Sundays CLOSED

Jazz or ballet shoes needed for classes including jazz.

For hip hop classes, dancers may wear their own clean tennis shoes or jazz shoes.

Important Dates

MEA — Saturday, October 18th (no Darby's Dancers classes)

Darby's Dancers classes WILL NOT be held on Saturday, October 18th during MEA school break.

Halloween

Darby's Dancers will be given the opportunity to wear their costumes to class on Saturday, October 25th/Tuesday, October 28th
Dancers will NOT be able to pass out treats; however, teachers will have treats for dancers.

Holiday Breaks

Below are the holiday breaks for Darby's Dancers classes this season. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanksgiving No classes: Wednesday, Nov 26th through Saturday, Nov 29th

Winter Break No classes: Monday, December 22nd through Saturday, January 3rd

Spring Break No classes: Saturday, March 7th - Saturday, March 14th

Picture Week

Darby's Dancers classes will have group and individual pictures taken in costume on Tuesday, April 14th/Saturday, April 18th at WDC. Please mark your calendars. We will have a more specific schedule at a later date.

Recital 2026

We have set our tentative recital dates for 2026...

Tuesday, May 26th through Saturday, May 30th at East Ridge High School in Woodbury.

Dress rehearsals will be held the week of May 18th-21st.

Each Darby's Dancers class will perform in one recital during our recital week and will attend one dress rehearsal the week prior. Look for more information to be sent during the season.

BAND App

At WDC we use the BAND app to help connect instructors with dancers/parents and also to keep parents updated throughout the season. Newsletters and important updates will be posted in the Darby's Dancers BAND app group. See the link below. Later in the season, instructors will post recital music and videos as the dancers prepare for our annual recital.

*We are using the same BAND group as last year for our Darby's Dancers classes so some of you may already have joined in the past and do not need to join again.

DANCE BAGS & T-SHIRTS

DANCE BAGS - We will soon have Darby's Dancers dance bags available for new students to pick up at the front desk. Look for a message to be posted in the BAND app (linked above) when they are available to pick up. Bags are provided at no cost to the dancers.

SHIRTS - New Darby's Dancers t-shirts are now available to order online through October 11th. Sizing samples will be available near the front desk and forms will be handed out in class, as well. Shirts will be provided to all Darby's Dancers students at no cost.
