Greetings!

The mist in the image above typifies the threshold between warm and cold, often associated with change of seasons. Metaphorically, mist symbolizes a threshold or veil between one world and another. Frank MacEowen wrote a book about the mist, one of the few books I've read many times, called The Mist-Filled Path. The reason I love this book is because it delves into the elements of nature that call to us every day if we would/could but listen and observe. To MacEowen mist is not just mist, but "the mist"--a living, moving energy enveloped in mystery and magic. Maybe that is why we see All Hallow's Eve depictions shrouded in mist and fog. November and March are mist-filled months because of the warm-cold battle. I suggest we may want to sink into--perhaps embody--the mist and see what's behind the veil.
