Mayor's Message

Last week, I introduced you to our Dancing With the Darien Starz Program, and this week, I am addressing our Citizen of the Year Program.

As stated last week, I will be covering two events in Darien that provide an opportunity for your involvement. Our second event is one of Darien’s most treasured traditions, our Annual Darien Citizen of the Year banquet, which will be held on Friday, March 5, 2027, at Ashton Place Banquet Hall.

Each year, this event gives our community an opportunity to recognize an individual who has made substantial contributions to the city over a period of time. It is a chance for us to pause and say thank you to someone whose dedication, volunteerism, and commitment have helped make our community a better place to live.
