Darnisha Had Her Baby with
A Little Support from McAnthony Window
Darnisha, pictured above with her newborn son Sie'ayre started coming to the McAnthony Window in February about the same time as our new "ministry of presence" got started. She had an upbeat and positive outlook on things for someone who was living at a shelter with a baby on the way. Our volunteers gave her a lot of love and support which I'm sure she appreciated even more than the food. A parishioner heard about Darnisha's pregnancy and gave her a crib and changing table that she very much appreciated. One volunteer even purchased baby books for her. We were so excited this week to have her stop by with her little guy. She's gotten moved into an apartment. Never forget, the support you give through your gifts of time, treasure, and talent make it possible for McAnthony Window to help people like Darnisha and Sie'ayre. Please support this year's Gala in any way that you can, as it's our largest fundraiser to make our outreach of love happen!
Pre-Gala Silent Auction - Sept. 29 & 30
with Donuts and Coffee after the Sunday Masses

New this year, we are going to have a “Pre-Gala Silent Auction” after all of the Masses Sept. 29 & 30. All parishioners and friends are invited and encouraged to stop by the Parish Center. It will be a sampling of the items that we will have at the Gala the following week.

Each item will have a bid sheet with a minimum required bid and a minimum increase. We will take bids starting after the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday until 1:15 p.m. on Sunday. If you bid on Saturday, feel free to come back and bid again on Sunday. There is no limit to the number of bids you can make. All bidding will be closed at 1:15 p.m. and each winning bidder will be given a call on Sunday afternoon. Winning bidders will have until Friday at 1:00 pm to come to the parish office and pay for and pick up their items.

Included in the Pre-Gala Silent Auction will be some exciting items…
  • Mass in your home celebrated by Fr. Apo
  • Front row reserved seating and reserved parking for Easter or Christmas Mass
  • A dinner certificate at a local restaurant
  • Quilted holiday items
  • Computer printer
  • Gas leaf blower
  • Framed pictures
  • Gift baskets and much more
Stop by to see the wonderful donations we have received. This event is offered to everyone. Stop by and see what we have.

We also are asking for all parishioners to participate in our raffle. This year all prizes will be cash, and you do not need to be present to win. We are also offering a $50 prize for the person who sells the first winning ticket and the person who sells the most tickets. Tickets are $5 each or $30 for 6. They are available at all of the entrances to the church and on our parish website.  You may be the winner…but you have to participate to win!
