Crusaders Give Back to Their Community
Luke: 6:38 teaches us, "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

Holy Cross Academy families continue to impress me with their generosity and support of outstanding local charities. I feel blessed to be a part of a community that teaches philanthropy to its students and shows the positive difference young people can make in their community.

Orange Out Results
While having a great time wearing orange and dressing down, Holy Cross Academy did a wonderful job supporting the Brisben Center, a local homeless shelter.

Students donated 53 full size towels, 383 wash cloths, and $527.25!

Mini Mall Results
Thanks to everyone for supporting the 4th grade Mini Mall. Due to everyone’s generosity, the children made $785.95. Portions of these funds will go to a grade party. The remaining money will be split; 1/2 going to Catholic Charities and 1/2 to the Missions.

Mass with Bishop Burbidge 9:00 a. m. Tuesday & Noon Dismissal
Tuesday is a historic day for Holy Cross Academy as we welcome the Bishop of the Diocese of Arlington, Michael Burbidge, to celebrate Mass at our school. Mass will begin at a special time, 9:00 a.m. in Fr. Brisson Hall. As always, parents are invited to attend Mass.

Following Mass, Bishop Burbidge will visit with students until the end of our school day at noon. After dismissal, Bishop Burbidge will have lunch with Holy Cross Academy faculty and staff.

Aviat care will be available following our early dismissal Tuesday.
Amazon Smile
Holy Cross Academy has recently run into an issue with our Amazon Smile account. This program allows Amazon.com shoppers to donate .5% of the cost of their order to the nonprofit organization of their choice.

With holiday shopping on the horizon, we are working our very best to reinstate our account with Amazon.com. We will alert families when this is remedied.
Square 1 Art
We hope that everyone received an order form for Square 1 Art. This is a wonderful way to capture your budding Picasso's artwork.

The due date for orders is November 20th .
Dress for the Weather
As the temperatures dip, it is important to remember to dress for the weather and be prepared for outdoor recess. When temperatures (factoring in wind chill) are 30 degrees or above, we will be outside whenever possible through the fall and winter.

We ask that students be prepared with hats, gloves, and scarves so they can be comfortable while they frolic outside with their friends at recess.
