Personal Information: I graduated from Ball State University with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in art. Then I became a professional artist and art instructor. Years later I discovered the world of antiques. I have been buying, selling, and collecting antique advertising and toys for 52 years. I am one of the original dealers of the first Indianapolis Advertising Show. I worked with Neil Wood, the promotor, to establish this show, which was the first advertising show in the country. I helped write several books and price guides on antique advertising. Among them is Antique Advertising Encyclopedia, Vol. 2 written by Ray Klug. Many of the signs and trays in that book are from my personal collection. In 1989, part of my advertising collection appeared in a 6-page article in Collectors Showcase (a national collector’s magazine), September issue, pages 50-55.

I sell antique toys and advertising on e-Bay in January through March under the trade name TOYADVERTISER.
