First and foremost, we hope and trust you and your loved ones are doing well and staying healthy with the spread of the Coronavirus. It’s hard for any of us to wrap our heads around how much the world as we know it has changed…and so stunningly fast. Most important to me and our entire cruise team is the health and welfare of you, our beloved guests…so we sincerely hope you are practicing the important life-saving guidelines we’ve all heard about and that you, your family and loved ones are safe.
Over the last few weeks as the virus outbreak developed, our goal has been to keep you up to date on the latest information from our travel partners, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (RCCL). Because the information we are receiving is changing daily, and sometimes multiple times in one day, we haven’t been able to determine if our cruise would still take place, if you’d even be able to travel to Amsterdam, or if our ship would be deemed safe and secure for all of us to board. Apologies for how long this has taken to get a concrete answer, but today we are able to let you know one important piece of information:
Our 2020 Amsterdam & The British Isles cruises (Voyage One, May 29-June 5 and Voyage Two, June 5-12) will sadly not be sailing in their original time period as we cannot put any of our beloved guests in harm’s way. I know this is disappointing news for all of us, as we were all looking SO forward to this amazing musical week at sea. But with this decision we hope you can now at least put aside your worry and breathe freely. We will have more information coming to you shortly about what lies ahead. This cruise will be rescheduled, but as I am sure you can understand, this is a delicate process that takes time.
Our cruise is truly a family—and I’d like you to personally know, I care about you deeply and truly appreciate all the joy you have brought to my life through your incredible support and commitment. Especially now. We WILL get through this turbulent time and emerge stronger for it.
We will stay in close contact with you in the next few days as soon as we have more information to share.
Once again, thank you so much for your understanding, patience and generosity. It’s meant the world to me. And hopefully like me, you’re excited about what’s in store for us all once we get beyond this. I promise, it will be well-worth the wait!
Please take good care and stay healthy!
With my love and gratitude, always.
