Dave joined Laura Nirider, co-director of the Center on Wrongful Conviction; Daniel Woofter, Appellate Attorney; and Jason Flom, Innocence Project board member.

• Acknowledged the importance of understanding vulnerable interviewees, including youth, and how certain tactics may cause false confessions.
• Provided insight into how coercive tactics impact the reliability of confessions.
• Reviewed common issues with improper tactics, including threats, promises, and the false evidence ploy.
• Highlighted that the actual guilty suspect often commits additional crimes when an investigation goes down the wrong path.
• Discussed the trend towards evidence-based interviewing and WZ's commitment to the evolution of these standards.
