New Francey Album, The Breath Between
|
|
David will be releasing his latest CD early spring 2023. We will let you know as soon as it is available. Until then, here's a sample:
"A Winter blessing in the end
Absolution once again
That falling white that leaves us blind
To everything we left behind
Who we loved and who we missed
That snow as welcome as a kiss"
Absolution, from The Breath Between, David Francey

A Wonderful Surprise from Grade 4/5 Students
|
|
Last week we received a delightful surprise in the mail.
Mr Stranberg from St. Francis de Sales School in Smith's Falls sent us artwork inspired by David's song Torn Screen Door. How wonderful is that? We love the drawings!
The class wanted to know if the farm was a real place. Indeed it was!
Keep drawing and keep listening kids!

Farewell to Three Great Animals
|
Our pets are very much part of the family and this year we lost three of them. Early in the year our sweet 16 year old poodle Bobbie's time ran out. She belonged to my mom and survived my mom by 5 years. A few months later we learned that our gorgeous big boy, Robbie had Lymphoma and after 2 surgeries and much love we had to say goodbye to him as well. Then in early October our 11 year old cat went outside and never came back. A brutal year and our pet cemetery grew sadly larger.
We were left with Our funny little poodle Jordi and a sad, uncharacteristically quiet house.
I have always had a big dog to go for walks in the woods and could not bare that void so I found Walter, (photo with David at the top) He joined us in July at 5 months of age. A Leonberger (mom) and Caucasian shepherd dog X Pyrenees cross. He is now 8 months old and a truly gentle giant. We recently adopted a year and a half old kitty, Annie. Life moves on.
So raise a glass to those who went before and those who remain.

Thank You For your Continued Support!
|

As we ease into the "new normal" we hope you will once again get a chance to hear David live.
I want to thank so many of you all for keeping in touch, it is always great to hear from you.
Songs written, paintings painted, pets petted, we all keep on keeping on
Onward and upward I say
On we go...
