Atlanta, GA - The Davis Bozeman Johnson Annual Holiday Affair at The Atlanta Event Center was a night filled with black excellence as nearly 1500 guests came including Beloved Community Activists, Leaders in the Legal Profession, a TV Talk Show Host, and the Newest Attorneys of DBJ Law firm who were recognized at this year's Holiday Affair.

General Counsel of the State Bar of Georgia, Paula Frederick, was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award during our annual holiday party. This prestigious honor recognizes Ms. Frederick's 36 years of distinguished service, guiding attorneys through ethical challenges and steadfastly upholding the integrity of the legal profession.

Deputy Director of the Southern Center for Human Rights, Ateeyah Hollie, was presented with the Excellence in Advocacy Award. This esteemed recognition highlights Ms. Hollie’s unwavering commitment, leadership, and dedication to advocating for incarcerated individuals in Georgia and transforming the criminal justice system.

Former Georgia State Senator Vincent D. Fort was presented with the Freedom Fighter Award. This esteemed recognition honors Mr. Fort's unwavering dedication to civil rights and social justice. Through landmark legislation, including Georgia’s anti-predatory lending and hate crimes laws, and steadfast activism, he has championed equality and freedom. His tireless efforts continue to inspire us all to fight for justice.

Senior Paralegal Barbara Johnson was presented with the Pempamsie Award. This honor was bestowed on the occasion of her retirement, recognizing 50 years of distinguished service to the legal profession and her unwavering commitment to the community and the Davis Bozeman Johnson Law Firm. For the past 10 years, Ms. Johnson has been a cornerstone of DBJ, exemplifying excellence, dedication, and compassion in her role.

The DBJ Giving Express Holiday Event

The Davis Bozeman Johnson Law Firm proudly celebrates the success of the DBJ Giving Express, a heartfelt initiative to bring joy and support to those in need during the holiday season.

The day began with the DBJ team and community volunteers distributing over 200 plates of hot food, 200+ feminine care packages, and 100+ outdoor care packages to members of the unhoused community. The team also handed out toys, spreading Christmas cheer and lifting the spirits of many. Covering three different locations across the community, the Giving Express touched countless lives and brought smiles to those in need.

The evening concluded with a Toy Drive Celebration, where more than 350 toys were distributed to children in the community. The event was filled with joy and gratitude, bringing together families and children for a festive and meaningful holiday experience.

The Davis Bozeman Johnson Law Firm extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making this event a success and remains committed to serving and uplifting the community in the future.
