As a reminder, we will not be having the General Chamber Meeting on February 9th, instead it's Banquet night! We look forward to seeing so many of our businesses and community members join us for a night of awards and celebrations. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Chickasaw Nation for helping sponsor this year's Joint Chamber Banquet.
Our General Chamber Meetings for February 23rd and March 9th are going to be great! On February 9th, Broke Miller with the Chickasaw Country Marketing Association will be our guest speaker. She will be sharing some insight into tourism and highlight some ways local businesses can both benefit from tourism and help promote tourism in our area. Then, on March 9th, Davis Chamber President, Lacee Sartors, will be sharing her vision and goals for the Chamber this year. In addition, Lacee will have lots of information about some of the new additions and processes we already have in the works.
We are pleased to share our great educational opportunities through the year. Each month, the chamber will be providing classes or workshops on a variety of topics meant to help our local businesses. Our first one will be a Beginner Canva Workshop. Canva is a fantastic and super easy to use graphics design tool that will help any business. If you are looking to add to your marketing and advertising in 2023, let us help you get started. Our Canva class will be Tuesday, February 28th, at the OSU Extension Office. Be sure to register for this one early. Spots won't last long!
One of these new additions is a MORNING General Chamber Meeting! We understand so many of our chamber members would love to come to luncheons but aren't able to be away from their businesses during mid-day. We want to provide more opportunity for our businesses and community leaders to engage in Chamber networking opportunities. Our first Morning General Chamber Meeting will be on Thursday, March 23rd at 8:00. We would love for you to join us! Morning Chamber Meetings will take the place of the Noon time Chamber Meeting for the third Thursday of the month. Second Thursday meetings will remain the same.
