The saying goes:

"It takes a village to raise a child" is an African proverb that means that an entire community of people must interact with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment.

The same rings true for people in need at any age. We offer critical, life-changing services for those who need them most, but it takes a village, our village, to make it work.

Part of our village includes board members who have served Pacific House selflessly throughout these 35 years to give to others.

We know that for many of our members, board service was an “add-on” to the many other things they do, including their career, family, and other volunteer opportunities.

We are grateful that all were willing to serve, and we will always value our board’s time and input.

We look forward to our continued partnership as we work steadfastly toward our mission: to prevent and end homelessness.

Please take a moment to get to know some of our past and current board members and learn more about why they chose Pacific House.
Chris Tate, Board Chair

"It is thanks to you, our generous sponsors, supporters, board members, donors, staff, community leaders, partners, and friends that Pacific House is able to do the essential work it does. Our emergency shelter provides vital support to those in critical need 24/7, 365 days a year. Pacific House has a wide range of supportive services, including healthcare, recovery, young-adult, outreach, and dedicated case management. Our steadily expanding portfolio of deeply affordable housing offers homes to formerly homeless individuals. We also connect with clients through meal service, and when we are able, provide a housewarming gift to those in their new affordable homes. The community’s generosity is the beating heart of our organization.
