Day 14: Saturday, Nov. 6
Pray for a sense of connection among our members and with the wider church.
Read: John 15:5-13
5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, then you will produce much fruit. Without me, you can’t do anything. 6 If you don’t remain in me, you will be like a branch that is thrown out and dries up. Those branches are gathered up, thrown into a fire, and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. 8 My Father is glorified when you produce much fruit and in this way prove that you are my disciples.
Prayer: God, thank you for your love, which connects us to each other and ensures that no one is alone. Thank you for the global connection we share with the wider church, and for the impact we can make together. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Celebrate:
Hyde Park United Methodist is my family, diverse personalities and beliefs united through God's grace and Jesus' humanity. My church is my safety net, like the palm of God's hand. I know with absolute certainty my family will keep me from falling from grief, and into joy once again. How do folks survive this without such a sweet family? – Cheri Roland
