One of my favorite memories of Shepherd of the Hills is how genuinely friendly and welcoming this congregation has always been.
From the very beginning, I noticed how eager people were to connect — to learn names, share stories, and form friendships rooted in faith. Many of us have come from other places (often much colder ones!), and it has meant a lot to find a church where people are open and ready to welcome new faces.
For me, that sense of welcome showed up in simple ways — friendly conversations, shared laughter, and the feeling that I didn’t have to be here very long before I truly belonged. Over time, those small connections grew into meaningful friendships and a deeper sense of community in Christ.
