Day 17: Learning to Trust God’s Guidance

There was a time when I believed everything depended on me — my decisions, my plans, my ability to figure things out. But over time, God has taught me something different.

One Bible verse that has taken on special meaning for me is this:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6

These words remind me that I don’t have to carry everything on my own. God invites us to trust Him fully — not just with the easy choices, but with the uncertain ones too. When I stop relying only on my own understanding and instead place my confidence in the Lord, I find peace in knowing He is guiding the way.

Reflection

Take a moment today to read Proverbs 3:5–6 slowly.
Where might God be inviting you to release control and trust His guidance more fully? Offer that place to Him in prayer.
