Report to the United Nations on Racial Disparities in the U.S. Criminal Justice System

Description via Sentencing Project: The Sentencing Project submitted a report to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia, and Related Intolerance.
Our goal is to close youth prisons in New Mexico and decrease the overall number of youth locked in facilities throughout the state.
We want to reinvest in effective, outcome-driven community-based alternatives to locked facilities and other positive prevention programming identified by youth.
