Get Inspired
Bringing Mole to Many
Day 24: A family affair. As we all stay home, some of us have been spending a lot of time with family and some of us are getting creative to stay connected. Today, we're challenging you to spend your day celebrating family, whether near or far! Check out the video about how nostalgia for family traditions created a successful family-run mole business in Brooklyn.

Families come in all shapes and sizes. Our families are the people who support us, celebrate with us, grow, learn and love with us. Take some time today to be intentional about family time, honoring traditions, flipping through photos, and connecting with those you love.
Let's Talk
After watching Bringing Mole to Many, use the questions below to kick-start a great conversation with your family:

  • What did you find inspiring about the Bravo Family's story?

  • Why are the people in your family important to you?

  • What's your favorite family tradition? Why is it so special?

  • Bonus! Take a trip down memory lane. Dig out your old photo albums and family videos and enjoy as a family.

Do Something
Family Tree
Let's learn about our family! Grab some paper, markers, colored pencils, and more - we're making a family tree. Gather together to create a visual representation of your whole family. Grandparents, cousins, and don't forget your one friend that's so close you consider them a sibling!

Making a family tree is about honoring the people who helped you become who you are. Cherish the memories, get creative, and learn something new!
Our city needs your support! By purchasing some of our Honeycomb at Home loungewear, you help us spread the magic of volunteering throughout our city. Every $100 we raise provides free programming to a new local family. We so appreciate your support. Order now!
Community Connections
Plan a Virtual Family Reunion
Let's have some quality family time, with the whole family! While many of us are home with family, we are unable to visit our extended family in person. It's time to get the family back together! Everyone could use a little extra love right now - get together with your family to build connection, catch up, and celebrate relationships.

Create a reunion theme! Ask everyone to bring an object, photo, poem, or story that reminds them of family. Take turns sharing what you brought to the reunion and the meaning behind it. A family reunion is the perfect time to reminisce, laugh, and create more memories. Who knows! Maybe you'll start a new family tradition.

Chef Du Jour
Honeycomb Leadership Corps members, Alex and Eddie Gershman shared two recipes that will have you covered for breakfast and dinner! Check out the perfect scrambled eggs to start your morning and then get ready to prep your pulled pork dinner. Alex and Eddie have been spending their time at home working, learning, and exercising to keep their minds and bodies active!

The Gershman's recently joined the Honeycomb Leadership Corps with a drive to help their community. They've been volunteering as a whole family with Dawn and Charlotte since the early days of Honeycomb. One of their favorite projects was hosting a Holiday Party for the kids at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. As a family, they love staying active, playing sports, and spending time together.
Stay connected to our Honeycomb community through our  Hive Matters Community Page  on Facebook - a collaborative forum for all Honeycomb's volunteers and local partners to share ideas, connect, and inspire service both at home and out in Chicago's communities.
