Get Inspired
The Happiness Club
Day 33: Create your happiness! Creativity allows us to explore who we are and what we love. Today, we're inviting your family to get creative together and spread joy through art. Check out this video about The Happiness Club , a Chicago based arts and education program dedicated to helping youth find happiness through dance and creative expression.

Creativity can be expressed in all kinds of different ways. Sometimes people paint, sometimes people write, and sometimes people dance! Moving your body is a great way to express your emotions. What does silliness look like in a dance move? What does frustration look like? What does joy look like? Turn on your favorite tunes and get creative!
Let's Talk
After watching the video, The Happiness Club, use the questions below to kick-start a great conversation with your family:

  • What stood out to you about The Happiness Club? What made you smile?

  • How can dance be used to tell a story? Has watching someone dance ever made you feel emotional? Happy? Empowered?

  • How do you express yourself through different creative outlets?

  • Bonus! Daily dance challenge. Every day put on a song that speaks to you and move. Let your body express how you feel and find what feels good!

Family Dance Troop
Express yourself!  Moving our bodies is an important part of staying healthy at home.
We're inspired by the Chung family, longtime Honeycomb volunteers, who choreographed a fun dance together during quarantine.

What's your family theme song? Pick out a song that lifts you up and get moving. Choreograph a dance with your family. Move fast, slow, high and low. Don't forget to have fun!

Everyone's a choreographer. Divide the song into different parts and put each person in charge of creating the dance moves for a different section. We can't wait to see what you come up with! Take a video of your family dance and tag us at #honeycombathome or @honeycombproject
Cuddle up with new merch! We're selling limited-edition loungewear to raise vital funds for our programs.
