Community Connection
Margaret's Village and Maria's Shelter
Support women and famlies. Margaret's Village is an organization dedicated to providing transitional housing for women and families and providing experiences that empower, mentor, and support women and the broader community. Margaret's Village runs Maria's Shelter, a 50 bed shelter housing women and families experiencing homelessness. The women and families at the shelter are in need of food and supplies.

Try to limit unnecessary trips.  If you're out grocery shopping for your own family, consider picking up some extra items for families in need. The families at Maria's Shelter are in need of non-perishable food, paper products, first aid supplies, and cleaning products.

Items can be dropped off contact-free at 7320 South Yale Ave Chicago, IL 60621. Please call 773-994-5350, ext 5 to let staff know about your donation drop off.

Please wear a mask, gloves, and maintain social distance when shopping and dropping off donations. If you or a family member are not feeling well, please refrain from donating at this time.
