21-DAY EQUITY CHALLENGE
DAY 8
“I wish I could say that racism and prejudice were only distant memories. We must dissent from the indifference. We must dissent from the apathy. We must dissent from the fear, the hatred, and the mistrust…We must dissent because America can do better because America has no choice but to do better.”
Thurgood Marshall
DEFINITION AND GENERAL CONCEPTS

INTERPERSONAL RACISM is the bias that occurs when individuals interact with others and their personal racial beliefs affect their public interactions. After seeing how racism is internalized, we will now examine how these feelings can permeate into person to person interactions. To do this, we ask everyone to take the Implicit Bias Test on Race if you have not already. Following this, please utilize the resources provided to learn more about your biases and how to dismantle them.
