WHAT'S A BUSINESS IDEA PITCH?

It's an opportunity for participants to pitch their business idea in front of a panel of judges in order to earn feedback and be selected in EWI's entrepreneur incubator.

 

WHO CAN PITCH THEIR IDEA?   

To pitch your business idea, you must meet the following criteria: 

  • Be an immigrant, refugee or low-income American-born woman
  • Have a business in idea stage, hobby business, or 24-36 months into the business
  • Be able to participate in online and offline training and mentoring program  
  • Have a good command of both written and spoken English
  • Have basic computer skills for writing and online research

 

HOW DO PARTICIPANTS PITCH?

Participants have 3 minutes to verbally present a concise, clear, and powerful description of their business idea. A panel of business experts will provide feedback and select participants for EWI's business start up or accelerator program.

WHAT DO PARTICIPANTS WIN?

  • Everyone gets feedback for their business ideas
  • One full scholarship of $1,850 to attend the 3-month start up entrepreneur incubator 
  • One full scholarship of $1,050 to participate in the 9-month business accelerator
