In Memoriam

Please remember in prayer the family of DCPC member Cathy Acuff, especially her daughter, Haley Todd, and her grandchildren, Wyatt and Roy. Cathy died July 27^th. The memorial service for Cathy will be Sunday, August 30th, at 1:00 pm in Lingle Chapel.

Members and friends of all ages are invited. Bring a lunch if you want to eat, the Fellowship Committee will have your drinks. Swimming, walking, paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing and corn hole are all on the docket, free of charge. Register on Realm using this QR code or through your Realm account. The 10:00 a.m. (remember- 10:00 a.m. only during the summer months) worship service will be in person in our Sanctuary and also live-streamed to Facebook and YouTube including a Live Chat feature.

Free childcare is provided.

Robert Alexander will be preaching his sermon, entitled "Abundance," based on Isaiah 55:1-5 and Matthew 14:13-21.

The music will be provided by David Brinson, Jim Shaw and the Music Team.

We will celebrate the baptism of Julian Joseph Weekes, son of Chris and Sarah, at today’s worship service.

Sunday School Classes for Adults meet at 9:00 a.m.

Maloney Class will meet in the McLandress Library. Steve Scott teaches on Thomas, The Honest Doubter: John 11:14–16; 14:5–8; 20:24–29; 21:1–2.

Pines Class will meet in the Living Room on the Pines campus. Richie King teaches on Thomas, The Honest Doubter: John 11:14–16; 14:5–8; 20:24–29; 21:1–2.

Davidson Presbyterian Church and Davidson College Presbyterian Church invite you to This Is Our Story, This Is Our Song: A Celebration of Music in Worship on August 30, 2026, at DCPC. Led by the Rev. Daniel Heath, Mitzi Nelson, and David Brinson, this intergenerational event will feature congregational singing from 3:30–4:15 p.m., followed by ice cream and fellowship. You are invited to help shape the service by submitting one hymn you hope your grandchildren will sing when they are your age, along with a brief explanation.
