Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom-----

Perhaps no other President was as sincerely devout a Holy Spirit-filled, passionate believer in the risen Jesus Christ, as John Adams. When the vote for independence was cast on July 2, 1776 John Adams wrote to his wife Abigail, that it was a "Day of Deliverance." As we thank God every day for His Liberty to all humanity through the blood of Jesus, please join me in remembering to thank people like John and Abigail Adams who risked their lives to implement His Liberty in this precious United States of America. Here is more on John Adams from a book I'm writing, "Nation Imploding: God's Solution" :

John Adams, Patrick Henry, John Hancock, and George Washington, among others, hallowed God in the birth of this new nation. They honored Him publicly. They followed His Wisdom, watching the miracles He was bringing to give birth to a new nation founded on His Liberty. They gave public support to the common statement heard throughout the colonies: "We have no King but Jesus."

Galatians 5:13 had to have been on their hearts: "For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another."  And in verse one, chapter five of the book of Galatians, the Holy Spirit,  writing through Paul, implores: “Stand fast therefore in  the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”

Having a loving, growing, increasingly intimate and reverential fear of Almighty God, having His hand in their lives at this moment of a nation's birth in Liberty, repeatedly they were bold to hallow Almighty God publicly.

John Adams had a healthy, reverential awe of Almighty God even as a young man. At age 21, graduating from Harvard, he wrote in his diary: " Suppose a nation in some distant region should take the Bible for their only law book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited! Every member would be obligated in conscience, to temperance, frugality, and industry; to justice, kindness, and charity towards his fellow men; and to piety, love, and reverence toward Almighty God...What a Utopia, what a Paradise would this region be."

As a key member of the Continental Congress in Philadelphia, Mr. Adams said on June 21, 1776: " Statesmen, my dear Sir, may plan and speculate for liberty, but is it Religion and Morality alone, which can establish the principles on which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free Constitution is pure virtue, and if this cannot be inspired into our people in a greater measure, than they have it now, they may change their rulers and the forms of government, but they will not obtain a lasting liberty."

John Adams continued to be bold in honoring the Living God. July 2, 1776 was the day in Philadelphia that the vote was taken without dissent to dissolve all ties with Great Britain. The bondage to man's rule by a tyrant was now about to be replaced by God's Almighty Liberty bought by the blood of Jesus Christ for all men everywhere. John Adams said: " The second day of July 1776, will be the most memorable Epoche in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated as the Day of Deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shews, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this time forward forever more."

John Adams had a profound faith in God's gift of repentance. In 1777, a year after the Declaration of Independence, at a time when the British were winning almost all battles, John Adams attended, at great risk, another gathering of the Founders in Philadelphia. Philadelphia was about to be invaded; Washington’s troops were losing battles; the far superior British troops seemed invincible.

One local delegate, Dr. Benjamin Rush, asked John Adams: “Sir, how can we possibly defeat the British given their skill and their size? Adams replied: “We will defeat them if we fear God and repent of our sins."

John Adams’ boldness for Christ came from his love of the Bible and his understanding of spiritual warfare. Seeking to avoid war with France in 1798 and 1799 President Adams called for two national days of “Public Fasting, Humiliation, and Prayer.” Adams noted: “...the safety and prosperity of nations ultimately and essentially depend on the protection and blessing of Almighty God, and the national acknowledgement of this truth is ... an indispensable duty which the people owe to Him. This duty, at all times incumbent, is so especially in seasons of difficulty and of danger.”

In 1798 President Adams, writing to the militia in Massachusetts said: “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break

the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

John Adams, champion of repentance, was the first President to occupy the White House.  The White House was barely finished when the Adams moved into it in November, 1800. In writing to his wife, Abigail, President Adams composed a prayer which was later engraved  upon the mantel in the White House state dining room. It may still stand there today: “I pray Heaven to bestow THE BEST OF BLESSINGS ON THIS HOUSE and All that shall hereafter inhabit it. May none but Honest and Wise Men ever rule under This Roof.”

Are you called to bring His Flame of repentance to your city or state or nation? The LORD lit the flame among youth in Africa, and it's now burning among youth in several nations, but He wishes it to spread all over His Planet. We'll join you to pray for His Wisdom to make it happen where He's planted you--in your town, your city, your State, your nation, for such a time as this (Acts 17:26). Repentance is His Gift, not a punishment. Following His Word, the Lord will heal IF we collectively repent. We'll help you organize the event !

National Day of Repentance is a 501c3 tax exempt Christian nonprofit organization

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7:1
