JCU Day of Giving 2022

Today is Founders’ Day, and the JCU Day of Giving commences! This 24-hour online fundraising campaign brings together students, alumni, faculty, staff, friends, and the local community in support of the University. Reflect on your own JCU experience and GIVE TO WHAT YOU LOVE today.

Have questions? Email service@jcu.edu or stop in to CSSA in the lower level of the Admin Bldg.
Stop and catch your breath as the semester gets busier and more stressful! Hit the pause button to reflect on what really matters to you! Take time to explore where you have been, where you are now, and where you are going.

CSSA has designed a workshop to help you explore these questions, think about your next steps, and provide you with great tools, resources, and connections to make them. Learn about exciting courses to take, service opportunities to think about for next semester, non-profit internships, and summer jobs that meet your needs and interests.

All students who have participated in community service, immersion trips, and/or non-profit internships are encouraged to attend!

Camp Ozanam, provides free, overnight summer camp experience to vulnerable children in southeast Michigan since 1923.

Each summer, hundreds of children who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to go to camp are able to explore their faith, make new friends, develop new skills, and enjoy an adventure on the shores of Lake Huron.
It’s an awesome paid opportunity to work with children who come from challenging home lives, gain leadership skills, spend some time outdoors, and explore your faith. The JCU students we’ve had up at camp in the past (about 7 over the last ten years) have been some of our best!

All staff should be available for the following dates:
• Staff Training
  • Wednesday, June 22 through Saturday, July 2, 2022
• Camp Session
  • Monday, July 4 (return by 7 PM) through Saturday, August 6

For more information contact Julia Hohner at jhohner@svdpdetroit.org or phone: 313-393-2871
or to apply, please click here!

We are looking for applicants who embrace the JCU mission of being men and women for and with others! As a CSSA representative, Student Liaisons serve as peer service leaders and van drivers as they facilitate a positive service experience for their fellow JCU students. This paid position allows you to do all this and gain professional experience!
